Behind the Scenes and FAQ
Lyrians born with the gift of light weaves tend to become healers or study further to become warmages. The gift of dark is rarer, due to an ancient quarrel and split among the people that evolved into two separate kingdoms and a centuries-long hostility.
Recently graduated from the Academy, Aisha Tremelan has mastered the light weaves for healing. In an attempt to learn more about her gift for dark weaves, she travels with her good friend, Daryl, to visit a man she can learn from. Instead, the trip is met with disappointment, and although Aisha meets and befriends a soldier with a mysterious past, something terrible befalls Daryl, and Aisha gets captured by the enemy…
Dark Weaves is a story about heroes opposite no villains, about goodwill overcoming hate, about loyalty, love and family. In a world where one person can make big changes, readers will follow Aisha and the people around her as they try to do the right thing for themselves, their friends, and their kingdom. The writing style lends to a quick read, but will entice your imagination to fill in the blanks. The main character is not your expected protagonist, and the story is not your typical epic heroic journey.
